Domain services fail to start

If the web management service or the JMX management API service fails to start and reports that its port is already in use, you must specify a different port number.

When you attempt to start an instance, error messages are displayed that indicate that the web management service did not start. For example:

CDISA5083E The sws service failed to start on the following resource:
    host1.ibm.com. The following port is already in use: 8443.

When you attempt to start an instance, error messages are displayed that indicate that the JMX management API service did not start. For example:

CCDISA5083E The jmx service failed to start on the following resource:
    host1.ibm.com. The following port is already in use: 9975.

The port that is associated with web management services or JMX management API services is already in use.
