System data to back up

Back up the system files and directories for all your Teracloud® Streams environments.

Files and directories

The following table lists the files and directories that Teracloud® Streams users need to back up. Use the backup mechanism that is provided by your system administrator.

home-directory/.bashrc Required if you added the source product-installation-root-directory/7.2.0.0/bin/streamsprofile.sh command to this file.
home-directory/.streams/var/conf/streams-conf.xml Required if you are using embedded ZooKeeper. This file contains the embedded ZooKeeper bootstrap properties.
The embedded ZooKeeper data directory, which contains snapshots and transaction logs.

The default directory is home-directory/.streams/var/embedded/datadir.

Required to restore the Teracloud® Streams embedded ZooKeeper data and transaction logs. This directory is specified by the streams.zookeeper.property.dataDir bootstrap property.
The embedded ZooKeeper data translation logs directory.

The default directory is home-directory/.streams/var/embedded/datadir.

Required to restore the Teracloud® Streams embedded ZooKeeper data translation logs. This directory is specified by the streams.zookeeper.property.dataLogDir bootstrap property.
home-directory/.streams/key Required for generated public and private keys.
The external ZooKeeper data. Use the backup mechanism that is provided by Apache ZooKeeper.
spl-samples-directory Required if you copied and modified the SPL samples from a Teracloud® Streams installation.
other-user-files-and-directories Required if you want to restore other applications, samples, customized toolkits, and tools.
If you run the domain controller service as a system service, the following directories and symbolic links were created by the streamtool registerdomainhost command:
  • /var/teracloud/streams
  • /var/log/teracloud/streams
  • /etc/teracloud/streams
Required if you run the domain controller service as a system service. You can either back up these files or re-register the domain controller service as a system service when you restore your system.
