The system hard limit for the open files is low: open_files.
A low value for the hard limit for open files might prevent the processing elements (PEs) of an instance from starting. A value of UNKNOWN indicates that the hard limit for open files cannot be determined.
Before you run the product, use the ulimit -aH command to analyze your user ulimit settings. Adjust the hard limit for the number of open files according to your environment. For more information about the ulimit settings, see the Streams product documentation.
